Eastrop Park canopy to be removed

The canopy in Eastrop Park will be removed later this month as it has reached the end of its life and needs to be taken down.

Once removed, it will provide a new larger open space that will be available to use, and we will work with groups to support their performances to continue in the future.

A replacement canopy or new performance space will be explored as part of plans to rejuvenate Eastrop Park for residents and visitors to enjoy. These plans include carrying out work to attract external funding to invest in new facilities, while also protecting and enhancing the important green space.
